Diary 5-19-15

May 19, 2015

Dear Diary, I got out this morning while the sky was still slightly overcast and set some cornflower and sage plants; but you know how it can be in Seattle at this time of year; when I went out again at 7:00 to set more, the sun was just ridiculously hot. My entire garden slope faces west, and it’s like a green reflector oven, cooking moi. I did manage to sow a square-yard patch of scatterseed flowers. They’re advertised as especially appealing to butterflies, and of course I also have in mind the hummingbirds.

I heard on the radio that Malcolm would have been 90 today.
