Obama and Iran

April 3, 2015

Currently this novel is being blessed by the development of an especially important episode, featuring a partcularly important character, Barack Obama, in his role as President of the United States. As I wrote yesterday, in my diary, this episode in American foreign policy offers sanity and hope to the world. I’m thinking that, in addition to decreasing the possibility of nuclear war, it holds the potential for a rapprochement between the U.S. and Iran that could facilitate a variety of benefits to the wellbeing of billions of people. Which, after all, is the point, and Obama knows it, and his understanding and compassion (and negotiating skill) are key to the sanity that this episode displays.
