Diary 4-3-15

April 3, 2015

Alors, dear Diary – a litle while ago I listened to Camus reading the last chapters of L’Etranger. It’s wonderful to hear his voice give voice to Mersault’s thoughts, and then after the telling cries of hatred from the crowd I imagined the closing image of “Sunday Morning,” “…in the isolation of the sky, / At evening casual flocks of pigeons make / Ambiguous undulations as they sink, / Downward to darkness, on extended wings.”

And now of course Lou Reed.
